Please join us for a completely unique and wonderful Crestmont tradition:
Crestmont Flea Market
Thursday, February 2nd
Between 1:00 and 2:30 PM
At Crestmont School, 6226 Arlington, Richmond
Grab your quarters and dimes and bring your shopping bag! At the Crestmont Flea Market, you’ll find unique student-made crafts and artwork, sweet and savory treats, activities (wagon rides, joke-telling booths), raffles, and so much more.
Three times a year, our students create, advertise and sell their own wares to each other, their families, teachers, and members of the local community. At the end of the year, all flea market proceeds are divided between classes, and each class votes on one or more non-profit organizations to receive the proceeds. The classes often choose non-profits relevant to topics they study during the year.
Last year, Crestmont Flea Market proceeds went to 9 charitable organizations, some local and some far away: the Berkeley Humane Shelter, Contra Costa Community Services Homeless Program, GRIP/Greater Richmond Interfaith Program, Coastside State Parks Association (supporting the Ano Nuevo Elephant Seal colonies), Regional Parks Foundation (supporting local parks such as Tilden), SF-ROCKS, (hands-on science program for San Francisco youth), Civil War Trust (toward preserving the Gettysburg Battlefield), Urban Tilth at Adams, and the Contra Costa Chapter of Head Start.
Come meet our community and students and score some great bargains. Children are more than welcome. We hope to see you there!
