Parent-Teacher Conferences: Sign Up! Bring Food!

We will hold our fall parent-teacher conferences from Wednesday, 10/22, through Friday, 10/24. The conferences will be 25 minutes long and in person, unless you arrange otherwise with your child’s teacher.

Starting next Wednesday, you will be able to sign up on SchoolSpeak. 

How to Sign Up:

  • Sign in to SchoolSpeak.

  • On the homepage, click on "Change group" in the top left corner.

  • In that menu, scroll down to your student’s class and click on it. For Redwoods and Sequoias, select the group called "Redwoods Sequoias Conferences"

  • In the left sidebar under "Quick Links", click on Parent Teacher Conferences.

  • Click on "Sign me up" for the date/time of your choice. You’re all set!

Our Daily School Schedule changes during conferences: 

  • Wednesday 10/22: Free childcare from 8:00-9:00am. Classes start at 9:00am. Students are dismissed at 2:00pm as usual. 

    Thursday 10/23, Friday 10/24: Free childcare from 8:00-9:00am. Classes start at 9:00am. Students are dismissed at 1:15pm

Aftercare for Parent/Teacher Conference Days

  • Aftercare starts at 2:00 pm on Wednesday 10/22 and 1:15 pm on Thursday 10/23 and Friday 10/24

  •  There is no extra fee for aftercare for those who are usually signed up for Wednesdays, Thursdays and Fridays. 

  • For those who are not signed up for regular Aftercare, the drop-in fee is $40, and you can sign up on this form.

PROVIDING FOOD FOR TEACHERS

It's a longstanding Crestmont tradition for families to provide food for our dedicated staff during conference days. These are particularly demanding days as teachers prepare materials, meet with parents, and supervise students while conferences take place, so let's take one task off their plate (pun intended).

PT Conference Fall '25

We're looking for a mix of sweet and savory options. Popular choices in the past have been: bagels with cream cheese, soups, main courses with meat, pasta or rice dishes, sandwich platters or wraps, fresh fruit salads, and homemade cookies. All items must be peanut-free/ spinach free due to allergies. Vegetarian and gluten-free contributions are also welcome.

Please drop off your contribution at the garden room:

  • Before 9am on Wednesday, Oct 22nd

  • In a container clearly labeled with your name and a description of the dish

  • Lidded containers are especially helpful!

  • Don't forget serving utensils if your dish requires them

Families needing community hours may log one hour for this contribution. Record it in School Speak under the Member Hours tab.
