The Redwoods loved the message of good conquering evil, light over darkness. Then the students created rangoli, a traditional Indian art form where patterns are created on floors and tables from colored sand, flour, or flower petals.

It's fun to see the world upside down, to look at things differently than they normally appear and to think in different terms about what constitutes a compelling image.

Our “Sun” Thematic Unit is a wonderful bridge between science, art, and culture—reminding us that learning can be both deeply meaningful and full of wonder.
